HIV GROUP AND HIV TESTING EVENT HIV GROUP It was last year i met a woman who was in a bad condition. Her condition was not good i asked her about her health what she told me is that she was suffering from AIDS, then i ask her if she tested her blood she told me yes, i ask her if she was following her treatment what she told me that the(drugs) ARVS are very strong that needs her to eat better meals and she had no money to buy food. she had no energy to work, so that she can get some money for her up keep, her two kids joined the streets. I started with her, i told her i would wish to help her with feeding her, she was sleeping in a small hut when it rains she has no sleep that day, another problem she had was over drinking. i told her that if she wanted to live, then she said yes. i told her to stop drinking ,and start following what her health needs.. like treatment, Eatting better meals and be mind free and another thing i told her to know who God is.. He cares about us and He is the provider. she took my words i supported her. she is now a wonerful person, then One day called me and told me there is some thing i feel i need to share with you...so we sat down with me and told me, Innocent there are people out there who need to know about HIV. people just fear to follow the right ways. We can teach them about HIV, She told me let's go out and tell people about this... like following right treatment, how one can get HIV, effects of drinking, signs of HIV, Using comdoms and knowing God then many others. so she knew some of the people. she took to meet with them ,i talked with them and we decided to make up a group.. it is called the HIV group, so they go out telling people about HIV. I HAVE A VISION FOR THIS HIV GROUP... Most of this people are hard working. i have plan to get land for them so that they can grow different types of crops and keep animals like.. pigs, and cows then poultry too. the group is now so large with a number of 27 memebers. woman and men then with some youth. HIV TESTING i always deal with (AIC) AIDS information centre in Mbale. I take my requests to them then we set up an HIV testing event for free to the community. but there are something i have to pay for like the people who are working then feeding when they are working, people who moving around telling people to come and test.
