Innocent Okia ministries Mbale is registered community based organization run by the local Ugandans in the slums of Namatala. IOMM provides services such as rescuing the street children from the street, supporting the HIV/AIDS victims, providing education to the vulnerable children and hand touch activities. Innocent Okia ministries Mbale was founded in 2015 and it’s located in the slums of Mbale. When community member got concern about the increasing number of street children and HIV/AIDS victims, they sat down and found the ministry which is now carrying the activities such as the education of the vulnerable children, free counselling and testing, street pastoring spreading the gospel to the street children with hope there is life after the street life. The ministry gives hand touch skills to the orphans such as art and craft, computer skills, hair dressing and income generating activities for the community members e.g. piggery, Farming, and Poultry.
